We recently started up a new actual play mini-campaign on Twitch. Dark Lore airs on Wednesdays at 2:30pm Eastern, and follows a group of adventurers who find themselves thrust into a hunt for the Book of Vile Darkness.
The series is based on a D&D Adventurers League trilogy, which I had the honor of designing part of with Joel Marsh. The Dark Lore series premiered at the Holiday Around the Moonsea charity convention in 2018, and consists of Illithid Activities, Something Vile This Way Comes, and A Vile Wake. The first module was designed for characters of levels 5 to 10, while the following two adventures were made for levels 11 to 16. This was done intentionally, allowing players to use different characters to continue telling the same story. For the Twitch stream, we’ll be leveling up our characters to match the optimized level for each module, however. You can pick up your copies of the trilogy on the Dungeon Master’s Guild!
